Reflecting back: First month of TechStars.. at the Barclays Accelerator
Aire is ready for our beta testers.
So it’s been 1 month since we took our selfie with the Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins to kick off our TechStars journey. We thought it would be fun to recap first month in a series of picture posts..
The first few weeks really are all about the Mentor Madness… 80+ meetings of 20 minutes over three weeks with some of the smartest people in the game. Its hectic… but the process surprisingly works.
Check out the amount of mentor feedback we collated and are now using to improve our product roadmap. And we met some folks who definitely will be key our journey in the future.. and became Friends of Aire.
We also got invited out to BBC for an early morning show Wake up to Money which got us a couple minutes of ‘aire time' !!!
Back in Mile End (at the Accelerator) we continued hacking away to get our initial product MVP out. And we did get it out. We are live!!! Sign up to be a beta tester here.
But we continue iterating and had some deep-dive sessions with some more friends of Aire who joined in to help us "do more faster".
We also pulled in another team member into our Data Science team to give us more momentum on the algorithm. We are now on release 4… we call it Dragonbird (in keeping with our bird name traditions.. Albatross.. BlueBird.. Canary).
(And happens to be a good ping-pong player too. Maybe we can finally win the highly coveted Accelerator Pingpong Championship 2014 KPI Award).
Our food exploits continue. We did manage to bring down our Biryani consumption to just once a fortnight. And sometimes we get some friends over to join us on our product + food sessions.
And Jon is becoming quite the video celebrity - pitching Aire at every opportunity. Check out his starring role in this video recap by Barclays.
Meanwhile, Aneesh insists that these shoes he bought should be worn by the entire team, as they are “the exact teal green of the Aire logo"… !!!???
Ohh yeah… couldnt resist a selfie of the founding team!
Credit scoring is changing forever.. be part of the change!
